Orton Bradley Park - Cath's Cottage

Orton Bradley Park is a private 650ha rural property situated on the southern shores of Lyttelton Harbour open 365 days a year. We are a fantastic family friendly location, with large open spaces, fantastic sunsets, and park like settings. Over 25km of walking tracks cater for all ages and abilities. They range from the famous Rhododendron walk (20 minutes) to the popular Waterfall Gully Track (2 1/2 hours) and beyond to the DOC Packhorse Hut or Mt Herbert.  We are situated next to a stunning 9 hole golf course and have tennis courts nearby. The property has a large children's adventure playground, with flying fox, situated next to a small stream, and we also have a number of short mountain bike tracks suitable for all members of the family. The park is the perfect location for family picnics, birthday parties, school camps and wedding functions. Home to one of the largest trees in New Zealand, Orton Bradley planted over 160 exotic trees of which you will notice some of the trees are numbered.

Caths cottage is set among mature trees and has a fantastic view over the golf course to Lyttelton harbour and the Port hills. For those winter get-a-ways it has a heat pump and log burner - keeping the 2-bedroom cottage toastee and warm. This can be booked through AirBnB https://www.airbnb.co.nz/rooms/1477073018841163793?source_impression_id=p3_1762985511_P34qmzqbjN6ezkaq

The park gates are open 8.30am-8pm

The Cafe is open over summer from 10am-3.30pm Thursday to Sunday

We are a Pet Free Zone

Due to Orton Bradley Park being a working farm, and also hosting many young children, we do not allow pets on the property. There are kennels available for dog use at the entrance booth.
