Community House, Lyttelton

Lyttelton Community House has been providing services and
support to the Lyttelton community, meeting the needs of
our most vulnerable community members since 2008.
Our community house at Whakaraupo/Lyttelton continues
to aid and strengthen the community by providing social,
economic, health and educational support to our people. We
aim to provide a welcoming and peaceful space that is
nurturing, inclusive and co-creative.

Lyttelton House is a Community Trust, that provides a place to meet, a weekly meal, facilitates community activities such as coffee mornings, outings, links with seniors and children and encourages the participation of local people to support each other and share knowledge.
A welcoming space for drop-in Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 2pm – companionship, tea and coffee, internet access, newspapers, books, puzzles.

Community lunch open to the local community at 12 noon every Tuesday.
Meal delivery 5 days per week, for people who cannot easily provide their own meals.

Monthly morning teas and guest speakers at Lyttelton Fire Station usually last Thursday of month.
The Cressy Trust offers some financial support to Lyttelton Community Trust and local people.
Social work support available

Monthly outings when van available. Bookings needed.
