The Birdhouse - Diamond Harbour

Welcome to the Birdhouse – a beautiful guesthouse amongst the Bellbirds.

Located in the heart of Diamond Harbour, only a 10-min walk to the ferry wharf or the beach so you can leave your car at home. The Birdhouse is a self-contained sunny garden guesthouse nestled in our backyard.

The space
Originally the site of an aviary built in 1975, the Birdhouse has had several rebuilds leading up to this cozy garden guesthouse with modern interior; comfortable queen bed, kitchenette, indoor table/seating area, and en-suite bathroom with shower.

The guesthouse has free wifi, and table & chairs for eating or workspace. The kitchenette is not self-contained but has kettle, toaster, mini-fridge, dishes, cutlery, French press coffee maker, wine glasses and tub-side plastic cups. Blissfully free of TV and telephone, with a collection of books (on birds of course). Bedding linen and towels provided.

Guest access
The Birdhouse has free parking on our driveway and is then accessed along a path beside our house to the backyard and down stone steps. The guesthouse and deck are entirely yours for the duration of your stay.

Other things to note
1. Option: Laundry washing machine with powder (and clothesline drying) $4, and drier with softener sheet $4.
2. Smoking/vaping is not permitted anywhere on the property.
3. Flying drones over residential areas, including ours, is not permitted.
4. The Birdhouse is not suitable for children.
